Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a process where a client, either in an individual or a group setting, talks to a psychotherapist about issues that are causing him/her concern.
These may be to do with changes that have taken place, or may be about to take place, in the client’s life. They may be to do with trauma, disturbing memories or ongoing destructive or discomforting patterns of behaviour that the client wishes to change.
The psychotherapist uses his/her skills and training to support the client in identifying the issues and making the changes. The time that this process takes varies, according to the needs of the client.
